I highly recommend the Hijama course by HIHC. It’s internationally accredited, with outstanding student support that continues beyond graduation. Raeesa goes above and beyond—teaching, guiding, and helping students launch their own Hijama practice. Her focus on professional, hygienic, and safety standards sets her apart, and she prioritizes both theory mastery and practical confidence for every student.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Hijama Hurt?

Hijama, when performed correctly, should not be painful. The incisions involved are superficial—more like gentle skin scrapes than deep cuts—and typically less uncomfortable than a paper cut. Because they’re shallow, they rarely leave significant scars or cause lasting pain. Mild bruising, however, is a common and temporary effect of the suction process.

Is minimal bleeding during Hijama considered normal?

In most cases, minimal or absent bleeding during Hijama is due to improper cup placement. While circulation does influence the outcome, the primary issue is often incorrect positioning.
DEEP CUTS ARE NOT NECESSARY!!

What is Moxibustion used for?

Moxibustion’s warmth is said to flow through the body’s 12 meridians—dispelling cold, boosts immunity, supports fertility, relieves pain, fatigue and digestive issues. The benefits are many.

What are the Meridians?

It is commonly known as Qi, which is the pathways of energy in the body. Acupuncture stimulates specific points to restore health and balance.
